Why We Need to Consider the Stages of Grief in DEI

The Kübler-Ross model presents the five stages of grief as: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Most associate these with losing a loved one or going through a difficult time that causes a significant change in one’s life or well-being. Few associate it with some of the major stressors in life: death of a loved one, divorce, moving, major illness or injury, or even job loss.
